The Inspire Napa Valley spring wine weekend in Napa Valley benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association and community is May 3 to 5. It was founded by Kerrin Laz and its honorary committee members are Ray Isle, Antonio Galloni and Bettina Bryant.

The weekend includes:

Friday, May 3: A welcome dinner at Mending Wall Winery will highlight “Wines of Elevation.” The hosts are Mark Pulido and Donna Walker of Pulido-Walker and Frank Dotzler of Outpost Wines with Abreu Vineyards, Almacerro, Lokoya and Ovid Napa Valley participating.

Saturday, May 4: An Alzheimer’s research update and wine seminar takes place at Round Pond Estate in Rutherford. Following a research update by Alzheimer’s Association Chief Science Officer Dr. Maria Carrillo, panelists will discuss wines at a sitdown seminar.

The main event is a wine tasting and reception, dinner and auction at Beaulieu Garden in Rutherford. The walk-around wine tasting includes more than 38 wineries, including Screaming Eagle, Brand Napa Valley, Brion Wines and Namo. It is followed by dinner and a live auction.

Sunday, May 5: Farewell brunch at Ad Hoc and Addendum Garden in Yountville featuring chef Thomas Keller’s Ad Hoc fried chicken and waffles with their Bloody Mary and mimosa bar.

The cost is $5,000 for a VIP ticket with entry to the full weekend of Inspire Napa Valley events including Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Entry to only the Saturday Evening Main Event (wine tasting, dinner and wine celebration) is $1,000.
